# EV Diagnostics

> Source-labelled EV diagnostic knowledge base operated by Langugo LLC.

## Purpose
EV Diagnostics organizes DTCs, OEM diagnostic codes and driver-facing warning messages for battery-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The site separates reference data, accepted research and verified source-backed records.

## URL model
Verified diagnostic reports use manufacturer-scoped canonical URLs under /en/manufacturers/{manufacturer}/codes/{diagnostic}. This prevents identical-looking diagnostic identifiers used by different manufacturers from being merged into one answer. Model pages use /en/manufacturers/{manufacturer}/{model}. Search result pages are discovery-only and are not intended for indexing.

## Diagnostic-page structure
Verified diagnostic pages provide a quick answer followed by 20 labelled sections covering meaning, technical explanation, affected system, seriousness, symptoms, possible causes, drive/charge guidance, safe actions, troubleshooting context, service guidance, repair evidence, affected vehicles, TSBs, recalls, official information, related codes, FAQs and sources. Supporting YouTube videos may be embedded when they pass relevance checks.

## Evidence policy
Reference data is discovery material. Accepted Research is curated but not verified. Verified records have source-bound evidence. Reference or accepted data must not be represented as verified. Unsupported applicability, causes, repair steps, TSB/recall relationships and safety conclusions are not invented. Unknown safety remains unknown.

## Search normalization
Code search is case-insensitive and ignores common punctuation/separator differences. Manufacturer+code and manufacturer+model+code queries are supported. Ambiguous codes shared by multiple manufacturers are kept separate.
